You know what truly inspires the broken dreams, broken hearts, disdained, lost, and depressed to pursue their dreams? Success stories from people like Patrick Starr; a diligently positive, passionate, and humble MUA from Florida turned YouTube’s biggest makeup star. How did Patrick Starr get his start in makeup before turning into the biggest name in makeup? To be frank, it wasn’t something you think from movies like The Devil Wears Prada, no this was more humbling. A MAC Cosmetics manager in a Florida mall gave a young hardworking creative soul a job. An opportunity. A chance.

These days, we find ourselves striving for more in life, to make it to the top and sometimes forget to throw the rope back down. Or maybe we just don’t want to. But not Patrick. Nope. Patrick Starr is an angel. It was no wonder he came out on stage in wings covered in silver glitter and white diamonds. It’s no wonder that as Patrick spoke about his past, his pains, and his love for his fans that the whole room turned into sobs, cheers, “YASSS”, and snaps. Coming full circle, starting from the bottom, working at a MAC Cosmetics store and now being the first ever influencer to work with MAC Cosmetics for a whole new makeup collection speaks volumes of the road Patrick has taken to this point.

This premier party was not in celebration to the makeup line, though that is part of it. No, the real celebration was the belief that success does happen. It can happen to anyone, you just cannot give up. You Cannot Give Up.  As Patrick showcased his new products, the words he spoke gave a solemn understanding of a critical realization,  “I can’t believe this is happening. If I can do it, you can do it. You can do anything.”
