Its hard to find the right product for skin as dry as mine. All the coconut in the world can’t save it. Which means moisture needs to be in my makeup. Scratch that, it must. Amore Pacific Intense Vitalizing Eye Essence
With a name like Amore, you know you’ll fall in love. This stick is life. I use it twice a day and have a hereditary condition for dark circles. This baby makes them light and depuffs all my stress. I take my time in circles under the eye; about 3 minutes under each. The more the better though! I also use other creams to help lift and return collagen to the skin. You can get Amore Pacific Intense Vitalizing Eye Essence at Sephora.
Chanel Rouge CoCo 444
Sometimes I don’t want to go matte. So I go Chanel Rouge CoCo 444. Not only is 4 my favorite Number, but now my favorite lipstick. I can never go back to any other. With eucalyptus as a main ingredient, my lips feel moist and soft when applied. Sometimes ill just dab a bit on my lips in the am when their dry. It comes in so many colors, that it can cause a slight addiction. Guilty! I got mine at Saks Fifth Ave!
Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster
In addition to Amore, I also use Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster to really get collagen back into my skin. As we age, we loose collagen and it never comes back. As women, it is wise to take steps to bring back collagen to maintain moisture in our skins and keep the blood flowing. It has Vitamin C inside to help brighten the skin. It can sting, so it’s wise to use it sparingly compered to Amore Pacific eye essence. Use about twice a week.
SMILE
Lip masks are a must have if you use lipstick often. Keeping them hydrated with certain lip balms are not the way to go because there is a chemical in most lip balms that make it dry. So the best remedy for super dry lips are masks and my favorite is SMILE’s lip mask in a variety of styles. Depending on what you want your lips to look like, you can use the mask to get. My go to is the White Pearl mask to give the lips a pearly shimmer that looks lush with just a bit of lip gloss. Stay hydrated!
Kylie Matte Liquid Lipstick & Lip Liner
Now I know what I was doing wrong this whole time with my matte lipstick. I needed a liner, but not just any one that matched perfectly with my matte lipstick. Normally I don’t go wild for the current dab fab, but I knew something was up when Kylie’s cosmetics sold out of their lipstick in barely a couple week. Trying it out, I realized four things:
- It doesn’t cake on your lips like Tarte’s Tarteist matte lipstick.
- I don’t need to reapply often even after drinking or eating.
- It doesn’t come off easily especially when I smooch. ❤
- My lips don’t feel like the desert. Dry and in need of help.
Of course, there might be a matte lipstick out there better than Kylie’s, but after trying Tarte, Kat Von D, MAC, and Sephora’s line I was sold on Kylie’s. (Still haven’t grabbed a NYX or LOC, so this might change! Tehe)
